In 2009, I relapsed into an old habit of expecting bad things to happen, and focusing on them when they did. I want to change that and build a habit of focusing on the positive. Depending on what research you read, it takes from 21 to 37 daily repetitions of a behavior to make it a habit. I need to deliberately think of something positive each day until between January 21 and February 6–after that, it should be an ingrained habit.

It is sometimes that negative thinking starts to creep in and we don’t notice it until it has become a burden. The important thing is that when we recognize this pattern of thinking about the negative that we do something about it.
It sounds like you are on the right track. Heres hoping that 2010 is a positive one.
