Yet again, I’ve let weeks go by without an update. When I get busy, I tend not to notice time passing. And I’ve been busy. Here’s what I’ve been doing since I last posted.

• I added quite a bit to “Big Little Blonde,” but got stuck and put it aside to get some distance. Oddly, I’m having trouble with the motivation of the main character. Somehow, I understand every other character but her.
• The “something else” was the first draft of a romance short story. When I polish it, I’m hoping I can sell it to Woman’s World.
• I started the first draft of No Humans Involved. I’ve been planning this book for over a year–way too long. I wrote 5,400 words this week.
• I started writing the next book review for my writers group blog.

It’s been a busy three weeks. The next couple of months will be just as busy. I hope to maintain the 1,000 words a day pace on NHI. I also want to complete the final drafts of “Big Little Blonde” and “The Hardboiled Yegg” before the Florida Writers Association conference in October, and also polish the Woman’s World story by the end of September.

I hope I can remember to squeeze in a post or two in the mean time…
