Three weeks since I last posted. I hadn’t intended to let that much time pass, but fiction outranks blogging and I haven’t had enough time for fiction lately. This morning, I’m too tired to work on the novella, so I blog instead. My accomplishments lately have been meager, but since the last blog entry, I have:
- Finished the first draft of “Big Little Blonde.” Revision slated for early summer.
- Submitted “The Tragedy of Spanish Pete” to two more markets and prepared a third submission for mailing. I also received my first rejection slip for it.
- Outlined the as-yet-untitled romance novella. I was supposed to start the first draft this morning but thanks to work-related insomnia, I fear that anything I write today will have to be discarded and I’ll have to start over.
In theory, the nightmare at work will be over in three weeks and I’ll have time and energy to write more than five or six hours a week again. And do research for No Humans Involved.
