Microsoft Word is my writing tool of choice. Maybe if I didn’t use it at work, I’d use… I don’t know, WordPerfect or something, but honestly, as much as Word sometimes baffles me, I like it. Rail against Microsoft all you want (and in many instances, I’ll be right there with you), but Word is a damned good word processor that does everything I need it to do, and then some.
But did I mention that sometimes it baffles me? Here’s an example: How do you set application options in Word? If you answered Tools > Options, well, you’re only partially right. Because for some things, you need to select Tools > Customize, and then click the Options tab.
Yeah, that makes sense.
